GODOLPHINS is dedicated to producing sound quality Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs. We operate within the Code of Ethics of both the MIDLAND & NORTHERN Rhodesian Ridgeback Club, and the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain, and use the breed standard to guide our programmes for correct conformation and true character.
OUR ambition is for excellent temperaments - with good physical size, strong bone and substance, finished with a happy mind.
THE puppies are reared in our home and socialized with lots of love, care and enjoyment. Pups are vaccinated, wormed and insured on leaving for their new homes, have been health checked by my Veterinary surgeon and are free from Dermoid Sinus.
BEFORE you decide to buy a Ridgeback, please do your homework. As pups they are adorable, but they do grow up and while they maybe the world best couch potatoes, they love and need their exercise. They love THEIR people and like to be involved in everything you are doing, in the car, in your house and in your bed if allowed.
I put my heart into my dogs, and the last thing I would ever want is to have one of the pups end up in the pound or rescue. As far as it is possible I guarantee the health of my pups, and in the sales contract it states should an owner ever need to give up their Ridgeback bred by me, your GODOLPHIN baby must come home.
AFTER doing your home work, and looking through this site, should you decide that RIDGEBACKS are the dogs for you, I would love you to contact me. There is nothing better than sharing our enthusiasm for this wonderful breed with others. They are such magnificent dogs, that once a RIDGEBACK owns you - you are owned for life.
THIS IS THE SERIOUS BIT...I have strong feelings about indiscrimate breeding (of any breed) and the worry that one of my pups may eventually become a breeding machine in the wrong hands concerns me greatly. My pups are sold with BREEDING RESTRICTIONS which means that the pups whatever their age cannot be bred from without their new owner requesting these restrictions are lifted. This is SIMPLE enough and a copy of restrictions (on request) will be sent to prospective puppy owners.
If it is brought to my attention that any of my stock have been bred from without these restrictions being lifted by MYSELF, the owners will be prosecuted.
To further safeguard the pups of any future litters, i am willing to pay a set amount TO-WARDS the NEUTERING of both dogs and bitches.
